The Library will be hosting its first ever Gingerbread House competition!
Age Categories
Family: Mix of adults and children under 18, any size team
Adults: 18+, up to 4 teammates
Teens: 6th-12th grade, up to 4 teammates
Children: Kndergarten-5th grade, up to 4 teammates
Important Dates
DEC. 15: Drop off entries in Room 104, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
DEC. 16: Drop off entries in Room 104, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
DEC. 16: Judging, 6-7 p.m.
For complete contest rules, including size and materials requirements, please open the rules document attached to this event. Once you or your team is registered, you can pick up your cake board base at the 2nd floor reference desk. Gingerbread houses can be dropped off in room 104 beginning at 12 p.m. on December 15th. Gingerbread houses must be on the table by 6 p.m. December 16th for judging. Live music provided by the Chicago Christmas Carolers in full Dickensian attire. Light refreshments will be served. Winners announced at 7 p.m. Registration limited to 50 teams.
